His drawing skills are obvious, and inspiring: A single, energetic line to describe the human form.Design Week is usually an “ok” source of design information / inspiration. I always check the “Inspired” section in their “Opinion” section. Often, nothing really special hits me. But Volume 23 number 4 featured Saul Steinberg as seen through the eyes of a London designer, Matt Willey.

I was blown away. It seems to me that much of magazine editorial illustration for magazines like MacUser, throughout the 90s, was heavily influenced by his New Yorker cover View of the world from 9th avenue.
