Bypass Facebook advertising guidelines with new, free format

I saw this recently and was surprised but intrigued.

Facebook Live Feed ads

This Facebooker has in excess of 900 friends. What if an advertiser such as “Get Them In” approached him/her and asked for an endorsement in exchange for remuneration? This could be a link or simply written out in their “status”. In fact, I’ve realised that I did something similar for a friend’s band recently who have their single out on iTunes, but what I’m talking about here is a “paid for model” for peer reccommendation.

Here you can see that “Get Them In” and a YouTube link are both mentioned in the status update. This effectively bypasses Facebook’s advertising guidelines and their sales team, increasing the commercial real estate in this case by 900%.

Multiply this by several participants and the numbers are staggering, but is it ethical?
